Connecticut State Police Update Holiday Traffic Stats

The Connecticut State Police reports the following July Fourth Holiday Operation statistics from the period July 3 through 7:30 a.m. Sunday July 7.  

Undoubtedly, these number will change when CSP release the final holiday weekend tally. And as of Sunday morning, no fatalities to report.  

Total Accidents: 297 
With injury: 43 
Fatalities: 0 
DUI ARRESTS: 59 
SPEEDING TICKETS: 2171 
SEATBELT TICKETS:  451 
OTHER HAZARDOUS MOVING VIOLATION TICKETS (cell phone use, unsafe lane change, etc.) 4,883 

State Troopers will continue to enforce all motor vehicle laws as the summer continues.
