2. The ’s Kim Hargarve will lead a . The and the Avalonia Land Conservancy are co-sponsoring a morning of pond dipping at Avalonia’s Pine Swamp Wildlife Corridor (PSWC) property in Ledyard on May 5. Participants will get to hike to some ponds, and use nets to collect frogs, fish and bugs, the press release says. And not to worry, they'll be returned to the pond! Artists are welcome to submit artwork, photographic designs for holiday cards, candle wrap or ornaments that will be sold by Dana Farber as a fundraiser. The deadline to send in all designs is May 15.
