Economic Development Commission Salutes Orthopaedic Specialists

The Branford Economic Development Commission presented Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists with its Business Recognition Award.

BRANFORD, CT — At its September meeting, the Branford Economic Development Commission presented Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists with its Business Recognition Award, it said in a press release.

The commission says it "periodically presents the award to a Branford company that is a leader in its field and that contributes to making Branford a better place to live and work."

According to the economic development commission, Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists' "mission is to provide extraordinary care for children and adults with musculoskeletal
injuries and disorders."

Its physicians are fellowship trained at premier institution, board-certified, and nationally recognized in their fields of practice.

Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists is a team physician for the Quinnipiac University Bobcats. The group also provides services at no fee for 16 high schools, including Branford High School and Branford Little League.

Started in 1963 with two physicians; today more than 50 specialists provide medical care at 21 locations across the state, as well as at four urgent care walk-in centers and at its surgical center located at Branford’s North Main Street facility.
