’s Drama Club proudly presents “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” an adaptation of the hit Broadway musical production of this classic fairy tale. This beloved story follows the intelligent and beautiful young Belle, played by Tessa Ann Stewart, who longs to escape her provincial life and boorish suitor, Gaston, played by Colby LaMarche. A conceited young prince, trapped in a Beast’s body, played by Sami Rajab, must earn Belle’s love in order to be transformed back to his human self. The stage will be filled with enchanted characters, such as Mrs. Potts, played by Marissa Caraballo, Lumiere played by Nicholas Lindholm and Cogsworth played by Nathan Bennett, as well as, dancing flatware, singing furniture, looming wolves and rioting villagers. Over 60 Pawcatuck Middle School students are involved as either cast or crew in this timeless story of acceptance and love.
