In Connecticut, the average gallon of regular gasoline costs $3.92, according to AAA's "Fuel Gauge Report," with the mid-grade at $4.07, premium at $4.19 and diesel at $4.15.
Things are bad, but could be worse: The highest-ever recorded price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the Nutmeg State was $4.39—on July 9, 2008.
