Stonington Borough
The Borough’s annual Fourth of July parade kicks off Thursday, July 4, just before 10 a.m. at Wadwanuck Square and winds its way through the streets of the Borough. Sponsored by the Stonington Historical Society, the parade grand marshal is Bella Miceli. Following the parade, enjoy a reading of the Declaration of Independence and a free concert.

Party like it’s 1870! Mystic Seaport celebrates the Fourth Thursday all day with a an authentic late 19th century-style picnic on the green at 12 noon, followed by its Independence Day parade through the Seaport village at 1 p.m. punctuated with patriotic bandstand ceremonies and music by the Mystic Silver Cornet Band.
