Icy Conditions Expected for Monday Night, Tuesday Morning
If your driveway is slushy, expect it to become a sheet of ice by Tuesday morning, one Connecticut meteorologist says.
After a steady stream of rain and sleet falling across Connecticut for most of Monday, Meteorologist Gil Simmons said it’s the slush we have to keep in mind.
“If your driveway is slushy now, it will be solid ice tomorrow morning,” Simmons said on his Facebook page. “Everything will freeze up overnight, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.! Be careful in the Tuesday morning!”
Most towns can expect to see some rain, sleet and snow before midnight, according to the National Weather Service. There’s a slight chance of snow after midnight.
