Is It A Beach Day? What’s That About Crabbing? Zoe Did What?
Five things you need to know for Wednesday July 24.

1. If the forecast is true, it looks to be stunning today! Mostly sunny, relatively low humidity with a high of 83. Sounds perfect!
2. Board of Selectmen meet at 7 p.m. at the Stonington Police Station community room with an agenda that includes action slated on a Historic Documents Preservation Grant and Sunday’s Blessing of the Fleet among myriad other items. Check the agenda here.
3. If these programs scheduled for today don’t say ‘summer,’ I don’t know what does: Beautiful Birds, Trail Running and Family Crabbing all today at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. Check the website for details.

4. Did you see our story about the amazing and awesome Zoe Banks? The 12-year-old is on a mission to raise enough money to send a Rwandan teen to college for 4 years. Check it out and consider investing $3 and for your generosity, get a very cool bracelet Zoe designed, all part of Project LIGHT: New England Helps Rwanda.
5. By now you have likely heard about the desecration of the Wilcox Park Runaway Bunny. As I wrote, if you have a kid under 16 the chances are you have a picture of that child with the Bunny. If you do, we’d love to see it! Why not post it on Patch? Who’ll be first?
