Ledyard Man Flees RI Hit & Run Into CT, Gets Two-State Charges
Police: A Ledyard man crashed into an occupied limo in Misquamicut, fled into Pawcatuck, was nabbed and charged by Stonington and Westerly.

STONINGTON, CT—Anthony J. Marshall of Ledyard crashed into a limo with passengers including children in Misquamicut Sunday and then took off, racing from Rhode Island into Connecticut, Westerly Police Chief Shawn Lacey said.
Westerly cops notified Stonington authorities that an alleged hit-and-run driver was likely on the way into their jurisdiction. Soon after, Marshall was nabbed by police there after crossing the two-state border near the intersection of Routes 2 and 49 in Pawcatuck, Lacey confirmed.
The 42-year-old man was charged by Stonington with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and afterward, was turned over to Westerly cops, according to Lacey.

Lacey said Marshall was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and roadway violations.
Police heard from a number of witnesses to the hit-and-run: Marshall was traveling on Atlantic Avenue when his vehicle crashed into a limousine with six passengers; four kids and two adults.
