Man Dies After Truck Crashes in North Stonington

Hospitalized for at least three weeks, the Rhode Island man succumbed to his injuries.

Rhode Island resident and Pawcatuck business owner John Martins was driving a wrecker on I-95 in North Stonington on Sept. 4, when a tire blew.

His wrecker struck the median portion of the highway, before falling nearly 1,000 feet into an embankment, according to FOXCT.

The truck caught on fire and Martins was hospitalized since the accident. On Sunday, Sept. 27, he succumbed to his injuries.
