A look at bear reported bear sightings in Connecticut through February of this year.

A bear was photographed and filmed in a Brookfield backyard Friday, the second over the last year according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), the agency that tracks Connecticut's wildlife.

There hasn't been a bear sighting in Stonington in that time period, although there's been one in Ledyard, New London and North Stonington.

According to the DEEP, 2,776 bears sightings were reported between April 2012 and February 2013, with the most coming from Farmington (239), Burlington (200) and Torrington (168).
