Missing Stonington Man Suffering From Parkinson's Found: Police
A police dog played a significant role in finding the man, who went missing Sunday night.

STONINGTON, CT — A 76-year-old man with Parkinson's who was reported missing has been found, according to a State Police Troop E Montville Facebook post. Troopers were requested to respond to a Stonington home to search for the missing man Sunday at 6:42 p.m.
"Troop E K9 Zedo and his handler arrived on scene to help in the search," police wrote on Facebook. "Using a found baseball cap belonging to the elderly man, K9 Zedo immediately began tracking for him."
K9 tracked into the woods and along a number of trails before coming to the edge of a large pond. Following the pond, K9 Zedo tracked hundreds of feet to a stonewall and located the man in heavy brush on the other side of the wall.

Troopers and Stonington police provided aid to the man, who was too weak to move. He was then transported to the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London for an evaluation.
