Mystic Featured On WNPR’s Where We Live

Mystic being a village split between Stonington and Groton confuses a lot of people. Admit it you’ve done explanations before to out-of-town guests and even new residents who knew they were living in Mystic but didn’t realize it was still Mystic just a different town on the other side of the drawbridge.

Mystic’s two towns are so puzzling that the village got a mention on WNPR’s Where We Live segment Connecticut Eccentricities. The program, originally aired on Aug., 15 and re-aired on Sept. 13 discussed some of things that make Connecticut towns unqiue including: “Why is Mystic half in Groton and half in Stonington? How did the Quiet Corner get its name? (Litchfield County’s pretty quiet, too), and how does Lyme feel about its disease-ridden infamy?”
