• Vehicle Strikes Home, Driver Hospitalized In Pawcatuck: Report (patch.com) — Residents in Stonington's Pawcatuck section may have noticed emergency crews Thursday evening after a vehicle crashed into a home on Morgan Street, sending a 68-year-old driver to the hospital. The man was transported by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, and police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

• Westerly Weighs Water Impact Fees and a $4 Million Well (upriseri.com) — Westerly officials are weighing steeply higher water hookup fees and a new $4 million well to handle demand from new development, including a large proposed project off Route 2 in Stonington. Because the 139‑year‑old water agreement extends service across the Pawcatuck River, any changes to impact fees, capacity planning, or future line extensions could significantly affect how and where Stonington grows.

• Local Roundup: Wheeler volleyball snaps losing streak (thewesterlysun.com) — Stonington swimmers played key roles in the Fitch/Stonington co‑op's 90‑71 win over Windsor Locks, with Audrey Schrage and Olivia Nowak each capturing events and contributing on relays.
