North Stonington Man Stole $229K From Grocery Store: Report
A man accused of stealing $229,000 while working at a New London food cooperative has been sentenced to prison.
NORTH STONINGTON, CT — A man accused of stealing more than $229,000 as an employee of Fiddleheads Food Cooperative in New London was sentenced to two years in prison, according to The New London Day. Robert Tompkins Jr., 24, of North Stonington, pleaded guilty to first-degree larceny in April.
Tompkins was accused of taking money from the Broad Street grocery store while he worked there between 2017 and 2020.
