Olde Mistick Village to Host New European-Style Beer Garden
Jealous Monk is aimed to bring the community together and be a place in the village to go and socialize.

MYSTIC, CT -- Olde Mistick Village will soon boast a new place to eat, drink and socialize called the Jealous Monk Social Hall & Beer Garden, the Westerly Sun reported.
Owner and mastermind Bill Middleton has worked in a Pittsburgh German-style brewery and beer hall and traveled to Europe, where he envisioned the concept for Jealous Monk, according to the Westerly Sun. The concept is unlike anything else in the village, making it both a way to add a new dimension to the area and difficult to gauge how successful it could ultimately be.
The new establishment, hoped to open in two to three weeks, will have indoor and outdoor seating between the large bar area and beer garden, and feature a menu of homemade sausages, pretzels and mussels, according to the Westerly Sun. It will also feature 32 beers, eight wines and four cocktails on tap, as well as over 100 bottled beers.
