Pawcatuck Man Sentenced In 2019 Fatal Stabbing Of Woman

A Pawcatuck man will serve decades in prison for killing a woman in 2019, according to a report.

STONINGTON, CT — A Pawcatuck man has been sentenced to 70 years in prison for a 2019 homicide. Carlton Henderson, 47, was sentenced for the murder of Brandia Irvin, 41, according to Fox 61.

A New London Superior Court jury found Henderson guilty of murder and risk of injury to a minor in June.

On the morning of Nov. 30, 2019, Irvin was stabbed, an arrest warrant shows, by her longtime boyfriend, Henderson. Irvin's young son was there when she was killed.

Henderson fled and was on the run for days as Irvin fought for her life. She died Dec. 6, the same day he was in court to face an attempted murder charge.
