Police Seek Suspected Stonington Stop and Shop Thief: PD

Stonington police are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of stealing over $1,000 in merchandise from Stop and Shop.

PAWCATUCK, CT - Stonington police are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of stealing over $1,000 in merchandise from Stop and Shop in Pawcatuck. Police said the theft occurred Monday at about 7:15 a.m.

Police said the suspect entered the store and stole more than $1,000 dollars worth of razors and teeth-whitening strips from the Health and Beauty Department.

Police said it appeared the suspect knew exactly which items he wanted, as he walked directly to where the stolen items were displayed, concealed them and exited the store.

The suspect was in the store for only about one minute and thirty seconds, police said.
