Residents Again Support Stonington Highway Employee At Meeting

Residents again attended a town meeting to show their support for a Stonington highway employee.

STONINGTON, CT — Weeks after over 75 residents showed their support for Stonington highway employee Daniel Oliverio, more supporters attended the Board of Selectmen’s meeting Wednesday night, the New London Day reported.

According to the Day, First Selectman Rob Simmons said he would have answers to the 18 questions previously posed by supporters at the board's next meeting on May 23. He also said he expected to receive a report from labor attorney Meredith Diette regarding the complaints on Thursday.

Oliverio had complained to town officials in April that he felt he had been targeted for discipline by Public Works Director Barbara McKrell, according to the Day.
