Restaurant Opens In Former Grass & Bone Space In Mystic

A breakfast-and-lunch place with an existing location in Simsbury has opened a Mystic restaurant.

MYSTIC, CT — Pop Over Eatery has opened its second location in the state. The breakfast-and-lunch restaurant has added a store in the former Grass & Bone building at 24 E. Main St. in Mystic.

The space was vacant for a year and a half. A ribbon cutting for the new restaurant will be Jan. 31 at 4 p.m.

Popover's first location opened in 2014 in Simsbury.

Best of Hartford gave the nod to Popover for best gluten-free menu in 2015 and 2016 and best brunch in 2016.

"Our mission is to source local, healthy, organic products whenever possible but always to use the highest quality ingredients we can find," Popover's website reads. "We are creating delicious healthy food choices for everyone. We have many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options on our menu. You must try our amazing baked goods and signature drinks too!"

Popover receives 4.5 out of 5 stars on Google and 4.2 out of 5 stars on Facebook.

One reviewer said: "Amazing food and vegan friendly! It’s decorated nicely and has great small desserts to choose from."

The Mystic location is open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
