Roads Closed In Stonington Due To Storm Damage: PD

Stonington police reported a number of roads closed Monday morning as a result of damage caused by a significant rain and wind storm.

STONINGTON, CT - Stonington police reported 11 roads closed Monday morning as a result of damage caused by a significant rain and wind storm that wreaked major havoc in the state. As of Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., two of these roads (Mary Hall, River Road) have reopened.

Police have reported the following road closures in Stonington:

  • Al Harvey Road @ 543
  • Farmholme Road (all)
  • Flanders @ Pellegrino
  • Taugwonk @ Sommers Lane
  • Collins Road
  • Stanton Lane
  • Walnut Street (LP)
  • Greenhaven Road from Route 1 to the Landfill
  • Elm Street @ Meadow

Police said efforts are being made to get these areas clear, and updates will be provided periodically. Police also remind residents that power outages should be reported to Eversource, not the 911 dispatch center.
