Special Olympics to Hold Annual Unified Sports Fall Festival

Event will take place September 11th and 12th

Special Olympics Connecticut will hold its Annual Unified Sports Fall Festival Presented by Mohegan Sun on Saturday, September 11th and Sunday, September 12th.

During the event, athletes of all abilities from across the state, will meet up and compete in softball at the Connecticut SportsPlex in North Branford, golf at Sleeping Giant Golf Course in Hamden, bocce at Scalzi Park in Stamford, sailing at the Wadawanuck Club in Stonington and croquet at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Special Olympics Unified Sports brings individuals with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team to train and compete in sports and to help create more accepting and inclusive communities.
