Stonington Davis-Standard $1.3 Million Expansion Grant Approved
The nation's largest extrusion machinery manufacturer was given approval for a large grant.

STONINGTON, CT- $1.3 million in grants has been approved by the state Bond Commission for a 15,000 square foot Davis-Standard expansion, the Westerly Sun reported.
The project will create more than 30 jobs at the plant in the next two years, according to the Westerly Sun. The grants will be awarded over time by the Department of Economic and Community Development as the company hits job creation milestones.
The company is the largest extrusion machinery manufacturer in the nation, as reported by the Westerly Sun. The expansion will also allow the company to move all its blown-film manufacturing to its Stonington headquarters from Gloucester, Mass.
