Stonington Free Library Sets Holiday Craft Pickup, Gingerbread Kit Registration

Stonington Free Library will offer Thanksgiving craft bags and gingerbread house kits for decorating at home, according to its November Children’s Room announcement. Registration for the annual gingerbread kits is scheduled to open Monday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m.

Each gingerbread kit includes a pre-baked house from Honey Meades Bakery, frosting and decorations, according to the library. Readers can use the library’s gingerbread reservation form when registration opens. The linked form currently displays a notice that it is no longer accepting responses.

Reserved gingerbread houses must be picked up at the library Wednesday, Dec. 9, between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. If registration fills, the library instructs readers to call to be placed on a waiting list.

Thanksgiving Grab & Go bags will be available at the library beginning Monday, Nov. 2. The bags contain materials to color a Thanksgiving placemat, and the library also invites readers to browse its Thanksgiving book collection.
