Stonington Rowing Center Campaign Raises ​Over​ ​$325,000​

The Hart Perry Community Rowing Center Capital Campaign has raised over $325,000 in donations since its Campaign Kickoff in September.

STONINGTON, CT – Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of campaign contributors, most notably, Richard M. Cashin, Managing Partner at One Equity Partners, the Hart Perry Community Rowing Center Capital Campaign is proud to announce raising over $325,000 in donations since its Campaign Kickoff on September 16.

Over 92 donors have made this initial milestone possible, according to a release. The Campaign Kickoff, hosted by Rob and Heidi Simmons, had 160 people in attendance generating nearly $10,000 in donations.

Supporters of the project are very excited about the components including public water access, a community rowing program and a future long-term home for the Stonington Crew team.

“We’re off to an amazing start towards our 2.5 million dollar goal," Campaign Manager Rick Larkin said in a release, "and we couldn’t be more grateful to Dick Cashin and all our generous donors who share the vision of a community rowing center at the Mystic River Boathouse Park."

In addition, the Mystic Rotary Club has committed to making a generous donation to the Hart Perry Community Rowing Center to launch an outdoor park bench program for public enjoyment.
