Parents/guardians of children who will reach the age of five on or after September 2 and on or before January 1 of the school year may apply to be considered for early kindergarten entry by using the Stonington Public Schools Early Admission Process.

This process includes:

A. Completing the Request for Early Kindergarten Entrance Waiver Form by March 1, 2024; and

B. Parent/guardian and child attending a multidisciplinary assessment based upon CT ELDS standards. This assessment will include an observation to determine your child’s developmental level in a variety of domains.

A decision regarding your request for early entry will be made following the assessment session.

Parents/Guardians should NOT initiate registration for kindergarten until they have received a final waiver decision from the District.
