Stonington Takes Major Hit in State Aid in Malloy's New Plan

The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
Stonington takes a major hit - as it was supposed to receive $2 million. Instead Malloy is proposing $526,215 - or 74 percent less.
