Stonington Vineyards' Wine Wins Three Awards

The winery took home gold, silver and bronze medals at the fourth annual NextGen Wine Competition

Three wines from the vineyard have been selected as winners at the fourth annual NextGen Wine Competition, Vineyard & Winery Management has announced.

Here are the winning wines:

  • Gold Medal - 2010 Stonington Vineyards Riesling, estate bottled and produced, $16.99
  • Silver Medal - 2010 Stonington Vineyards Chardonnay, barrel fermented, $20.99
  • Bronze Medal - 2008 Stonington Vineyards Cabernet Franc, barrel fermented, $20.99

The NextGen Wine Competition for Millennial Wine Drinkers, held June 5 and 6 in Santa Rosa, Calif., is a competition judged by "qualified and knowledgeable wine industry millennials aged 21-35," Vineyard and Winery Management said in the news release.

The competition included 750 entries and 17 Double Gold, 63 Gold, 253 Silver, and 249 Bronze medals were awarded.
