Stonington’s Claire Chambers Helped Teach Kids In Haiti
Chambers participated in Providence College's Community Service Trip Abroad

Claire Chambers joined a number of other Providence College students in the school’s first spring International Immersion trip to Haiti, according to a press release issued by PC.
Chambers graduated from Stonington High School in 2011. She was student government vice present, standout lacrosse team player and scholarship winner among her myriad other accomplishments. (And this summer, she's a sailing instructor at New England Science and Sailing in the borough!)
Now a marketing major at Providence College, Chambers joined seven other PC students, volunteered at the Louverature Cleary School, a boarding school in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. The school is operated by The Haitian Project and provides a tuition-free education to 350 children. The students were in Haiti from May 27 through June 1.
