Sister Of Suspect In Brutal CT Stabbing Wants Him Captured
Sister of Carlton T. Henderson Jr. wanted in a vicious Saturday stabbing of Pawcatuck, CT woman says he's a danger and hopes he'll surrender
PAWCATUCK, CT — Days have passed and police are still searching for Carlton T. Henderson Jr. in connection with the brutal stabbing of a Pawcatuck woman Saturday morning.
Stonington Police Capt. Todd Olson confirmed late Sunday that there's a warrant for Henderson's arrest on "domestic related charges." Henderson is still on the run. And the victim's family and friends, as well as many of Henderson's family and friends, want him caught and are angry he's being harbored by someone.
Patch does not name the victims of domestic violence until family give permission or authorities officially identify them.

Hours after Patch first reported on the early morning attack on Mechanic Street, Olson said in a press release that police got a 911 call about a domestic incident at 8:15 a.m.
When police got there, they found a woman suffering from critical stab wounds. It was reported that suspect Henderson had already taken off. The woman was immediately treated by first responders and then was transported to the Westerly Hospital with life-threatening injuries but was then flown via Life Star to a hospital with a trauma unit. Her condition Sunday was not known. Olson said she was still at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Neighbors Reported A Shocking Crime Scene
On Saturday morning, neighbors reported seeing a taped-off bloody crime scene at 77 Mechanic St., where Henderson and the woman lived, according to police. Police and forensic teams were still at the house Saturday night.
Stonington Police detectives are being helped by the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Unit, a state police spokesperson told Patch.
Henderson's sister Tara spoke to Patch about her brother. She wants him caught. She said she talked to him Saturday and even "tried to lure" him to turn himself in.
She said he's "unpredictable and paranoid" and doesn't want to go to jail and that anyone who sees him should steer clear and call police. She said she didn't know where he is but added he is likely "hiding in plain sight" in Mystic, Groton or New London. She said he frequents convenience stores, drinks Dunkin' Donuts coffee, always wears a baseball cap, is paranoid and suspicious of people. She said that he does not carry a gun, but may have a knife. And said he may be driving his gold 2005 Nissan Maxima. Police said the license plate number, a Connecticut tag, is AL73560.
She then shared this post on Facebook.
Henderson, who in 2015 was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, then had a High Street, Mystic address.
Henderson, 43, has lived in New London, Groton, Mystic and New York, but living in Pawcatuck since at least 2017, according to his father's obituary.
In posts on social media following the attack Saturday, Henderson was called a “monster.” But just a few months ago, hundreds on social media were praying for him, and his large and extended family.
Henderson, who goes by the name Chico, was in July reported by Groton Police, and his family, to be a missing person. At the time, hundreds of people shared posts about the missing man.
At the time, a family member wrote on Facebook pleading for help in finding him. And then family and friends rejoiced when he was located.
Henderson Has A Criminal Record, Spent Years In Prison & 'Smokes Angel Dust'
Tara Henderson and people on social media who know the victim and Henderson claim he was using the dangerous drug phencyclidine, PCP or Angel Dust. The effects of the drug include hallucinations, delusions, detachment from reality, and often, feelings of extreme of strength, and wild and unpredictable violent behavior.
His sister told Patch in a lengthy interview that her brother has been "institutionalized" having spent years in prison. But he does not want to go back. On Saturday, she tried to convince him to surrender to police.
"I told him 'turn yourself in so you can be safe.' He said, 'Yeah, I'm coming.' He didn't show up. He told me he's never going back (to jail). Never."
Police ask that anyone with information call 860-599-4411.
