The Mystic Railroad Station Then And Now

While improvements in rail service continue, sometimes it’s nice to know things remain the same.

“It was the second station on the site,” the society said. “In 1977, the station and grounds were restored through the effort of a group of Mystic citizens, who organized as Mystic Depot, Incorporated.”

If you think the train station looks much the same as the one in that electric train set you have in storage somewhere you may be right. The historical society said some sources maintain to this day that the station was a model for electric train sets.
