This Week At The Denison Farm Market

The is open today, Sunday, June 26 from noon to 3 p.m. Here are some of the goodies you can expect to find:

Breads 'n Cookies: will have several products made with gluten-free ingredients as well as their usual cookies and breads. Friend of DFM special: discount on dinner rounds.

18th Century Purity Farm: we'll have strawberries, sugar snap peas, radishes, rhubarb, white spring turnips, English peas, heirloom dry beans, plants, and a limited quantity of sweet cherries for this week's market. Friends of the DFM will receive a $1.00 discount off the 1/2-pint size box of strawberries.

Beltane Farm/Oak Leaf Dairy: will be there this week with their goat cheese and soaps. Friend of DFM special: $1.00 off any discontinued scented seasonal soap.

D&L Burton Farm: Friend of DFM special: $1.00 off a pound of green tomatoes.

Stonewall Apiary: will be there this week with lots of spring wildflower honey. It's light and very sweet: bottled sunlight! The lindens are getting ready to blossom, so get ready for linden honey in four to six weeks, too. They’ll have beeswax candles and our beeswax wood polish, which is excellent for cutting boards, wooden bowls and utensils, butcher blocks, etc. Friend of DFM special: $1.00 off a jar of wood polish.

Groton Family Farm: will be there this week with greens, garlic scapes, and pasture-raised eggs. Friend of DFM special: $1.00 off a dozen eggs.

The Mischievous Carrot Farm: Friend of the DFM special will be $1.00 off one handmade cat toy with organic catnip, made with upcycled wool from previously loved sweaters. And there will be one more special for those who visit our new Facebook page, click on like, and see a special only for those who mention it this Sunday. The Mischievous Carrot is located at the Groton Family Farm tent.

Sweet Country Roads, LLC: will be at the market this week with our jams jellies, chutnies, conserves, relishes and extracts, both vanilla and almond. Spice Mixes will be there; they have over six new ones. Friends of the DFM special: $1.00 off package of spice mix.

Meriano's Bake Shoppe: this week they asked their friends at Bishops Orchards to give them the freshest and sweetest off the vine strawberries. Meriano’s Bake Shoppe hand diced them and put them in our strawberry and cream cake. It's fresh and delicious and Friends of the DFM can take $1.00 off them this week. Need a flavorful bread for grilled cheese? Have you tried the pesto bread yet? It's hand rolled with fresh made pesto (no pine nuts).

Welcoming New DFM Member Giftz and Greetingz: Giftz and Greetingz, last week’s guest artist liked the market so much that they applied for membership in the DFM. Now you'll find them every week at the market. Be sure to check out her artwork when you visit the market this week, or simply to say hello. This week they add a Kreative Kids station with several projects that they can make and design, such as bookmarks, mugs, birdhouses, plant pots, etc. The cost varies with each project, from $2.00 to $5.00.Welcome to the market, Wendy!
