Travels to Papua New Guinea

Wednesday, November 19th starting a 7:00 p.m., a illustrated lecture by Stonington resident Ray Uzanas.

Ray Uzanas will share stories and photographs of his recent travels to Papua new Guinea in November of 2013. Papua New Guinea is culturally diverse country in the Pacific Ocean North of Australia, home to over 700 tribes, each with their own languages and customs. The program is free and open to the public.

Uzanas worked as a chemist in the industrial diamond industry before pursuing another career as a writer, photographer, and adventurer. In the past two years Uzanas has traveled to Indonesia, Patagonia, the Arctic Circle, Australia, New Guinea, and Europe exploring the cultures and landscapes.
