Winding Down ...SHS Exams Start Tuesday, Graduation Nears

Exams begin this week at Stonington High School and continue through until next week. The last day of school is Wed. June 19 and all classes will be held, albeit abbreviated; school dismisses at 11:45 a.m. with the 2013 graduation ceremony slated for 6:30 p.m. at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

For exam week, which begins Tuesday for seniors, Thursday for underclassmen, morning buses will operate as usual. When underclass exams start, special bus runs on all routes will leave the high school at 11:07 a.m. to take students home from morning examinations. On these special runs students who have afternoon examinations will also be picked up at the regular bus stops. Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria from 7 to 10 a.m. but lunch will not be served during underclass exams days. At the conclusion of the afternoon exams, buses will leave school at 2 p.m. with no late buses.
