Woman Charged with Rummaging through Stonington Yard: Police

She was found on private property in the Old Mystic section of town.

STONINGTON, CT – A Westerly woman has been charged with rummaging through private property at a home on Lantern Hill Road early Saturday, the Westerly Sun reported.

Police said they received reports of a suspicious person in the yard of a home in the Old Mystic section of town, according to the Westerly Sun. Officers responded and found Casey Gentile allegedly sorting through piles in the yard.

Gentile was arrested and given a court date for later this month, the Westerly Sun reported. Police said she admitted to taking several items, though they did not identify what they were.
