2 Stolen Vehicles Found In Stratford: Police

The vehicles were stolen over the Fourth of July weekend.

STRATFORD, CT — Two vehicles that were stolen in Greenwich over the Fourth of July holiday weekend turned up in Stratford, according to Greenwich police.

A Chevrolet Silverado parked on Cos Cob Avenue was reported stolen Saturday afternoon, Greenwich police Lt. Mark Zuccerella said. The next day, an Alfa Romeo was stolen from Otter Rock Drive. Both vehicles, which were unlocked, were later recovered in Stratford, according to Zuccerella.

Several items were also stolen from unlocked vehicles in Greenwich during the holiday weekend, Zuccerella said, including cash, purses, credit cards and handgun magazines.

Last week, Greenwich police said a GMC Arcadia was reported stolen from Stanwich Lane on July 1, and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Round Hill Club Lane.

"We have leads and are investigating," Zuccerella said last week in an email to Patch.
