Harkins Hears Residents 'Loud and Clear,' Alternative Locations Sought for Proposed Cell Tower

Stratford Mayor John A. Harkins announces town will work with phone company to identify an alternative location to Longbrook Park.

After hearing the concerns of Longbrook Park neighbors “loud and clear,” Stratford Mayor John A. Harkins announced Monday that AT & T will consider alternative options to locate a new cell site in town.

Harkins urged AT&T to consider alternative locations after residents objected to the company’s initial proposal to locate a new cell site at Longbrook Park.

“I heard the concerns of Longbrook Park neighbors loud and clear, and I’m pleased to say that AT&T has agreed to work closely with the town to identify a suitable alternative location,” Harkins said in a press release. “I applaud AT&T officials for their flexibility and their commitment to finding the most appropriate location for this tower.”
