Bunnell High Marching Band Looks to 'Refresh' Their Uniforms
The band hopes that the Pepsi Refresh Project will provide funds to update their archaic look.
The Bunnell High School Marching Band would like to have a "refreshed" look when they represent Stratford later this year at the Citrus Bowl Parade in Orlando.
And that would require updating a uniform design that hasn't been altered in the last 23 years, according to the marching band's profile page on the Pepsi Refresh Project, which is an online contest that offers funding for "refreshing ideas."
A lack of funds in the town's education budget has the award-winning marching band reaching out to the public for support. Online votes are the decider of what ideas get how much money. Currently, the Bunnell High School Marching Band sits at 13 on the $25,000 list, the second highest of four grant sizes. Up to 15 ideas in the $25,000 category are awarded funding.
