Coronavirus Stratford: All March Library Programs Canceled

The Stratford Library has also paused the collection of book sale donations and volunteer sorting activities.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Library continues to monitor the progression of the new coronavirus in our area. We are relying on expert advice to ensure that the health and safety of our patrons, staff and volunteers remains our top priority.

Right now, the library remains open to the public. We have enacted the following precautions:
  • Effective immediately, all library programs are canceled, through March 31.
  • Our custodians are sanitizing "high touch" surfaces, including service desks, doors, railings, elevator buttons, tabletops, keyboards and the payphone, daily.
  • We have paused the collection of book sale donations and volunteer sorting activities.
  • CDC information flyers are posted and available for patrons.
  • Staff and patrons are encouraged not to enter the library if they are not feeling well.
  • In the Children's Department, shared toys and baby board books are not available.

If you are unable to come to the library, for any reason, use your library card to access a variety of resources that you can use from the comfort of home.
