STRATFORD, CT — In order to combat the new coronavirus and maintain community safety, the Stratford Police Department has announced it is temporarily adjusting protocols by requiring officers to limit contact with the public.

Officers will continue to respond to all emergency calls for service or crimes in progress. For calls that are not an emergency, a determination will be made if an officer is required at the scene, according to a department news release.

If an officer is not required but a report is needed, the report will be generated electronically. All non-priority calls will be taken online at www.stratfordctpd.com, where complainants can complete a downloadable form and submit it. An officer will contact the complainant if and when necessary.
