On Sunday, Feb. 27, many will be glued to their television sets watching the 83rd annual Academy Awards.
Of course, many watchers will have their favorite actors, movies and thoughts on who should take home an Oscar this year.
Inspired by the Stratford Library’s “Vote for Oscar” event running through today, Saturday, Feb. 26, Stratford Patch asked a few Stratford residents and librarians who they thought should win in the Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress categories.

For Best Picture The Social Network and The King’ Speech seem to be a favorites to win, while Winter’s Bone and The Kids Are All Right received mention among Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, 127 Hours, Toy Story 3, and True Grit.
Colin Firth is a crowd favorite to win Best Actor while Jesse Eisenberg did receive a vote among fellow nominees Javier Bardem, Jeff Bridges, and James Franco.

A hands-down win for Stratford residents for Best Actress would Natalie Portman among other nominees Annette Benning, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence and Michelle Williams.

Voters who correctly select all six categories will win a pair of tickets to Stratford’s Square One Theatre Company.
