Drug Dealer Charged In Overdose Death Of Stratford Woman: Report

The man is also accused of dumping the woman's body in her car after her death, according to a report.

STRATFORD, CT — A convicted drug dealer has been charged in connection with the overdose death of a 37-year-old Stratford woman in 2021, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Eric Herman, 31, formerly of Stratford, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant on accusations that he provided drugs, including fentanyl, to the woman that led to her death.

Police said that Herman is also accused of dumping her body in her car on Hayes Street in Bridgeport, according to the Post.

Herman was charged with second-degree manslaughter, sale of narcotic substance, and tampering – physical evidence, according to state judicial records. He was being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond with a court date of Aug. 7.
