Bridge Rehabilitation Project Planned In Stratford: DOT (patch.com) — State transportation officials are planning a major rehabilitation of the Route 15 bridge over Pumpkin Ground Brook in Stratford, with design work expected to wrap up in 2030 and construction starting that fall. The project will repair concrete structures, stabilize embankments, clear debris, and restore the channel, and residents are encouraged to share concerns with CTDOT, which may hold a public information meeting if interest is high.
   

2. Stratford Man Arrested On Reckless Driving Charge On I-95: CT State Police (patch.com) — A 54-year-old Stratford resident was arrested after state police say he sped along the left shoulder of I-95 south in Bridgeport during stop-and-go traffic near exit 24. Troopers charged him with reckless driving and related motor vehicle offenses, released him on a $1,000 bond, and scheduled his court appearance in Bridgeport next month.
   

3. $1.5M In State Funds Approved For Museum Relocation In Stratford (patch.com) — State officials have secured an additional $1.5 million to move Stratford's Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum into the historic Sterling Homestead on Main Street, greatly expanding its space and accessibility. Combined with earlier funding, the money will complete major renovations, add ADA features and parking, and create a permanent cultural hub in town that highlights African American history for Stratford residents and visitors alike.
   

4. Officials: DOT maintenance worker struck and killed on I-95 in Fairfield (news12.com) — A state Department of Transportation worker based out of the Stratford garage was struck and killed Friday while doing maintenance on I-95 south in Fairfield, prompting a major highway shutdown and detours. State leaders called the death a senseless tragedy and urged drivers to slow down, move over, and pay closer attention to roadside workers to prevent future fatalities.
