Drug Dealer Had ‘Large’ Amount Of Oxycodone: Stratford Police
Stratford Police say the man was selling prescription pills, heroin and crack cocaine and had a loaded gun within "easy access" of a child.
STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man faces several charges after police say he was involved with the sale of prescription drugs, heroin and crack cocaine. On Feb. 8, the Stratford Narcotics Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a Search Warrant in the 300 block of Stony Brook Road related to drug sales, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
During the investigation, detectives learned that Eric Herman, 25, was involved in the sale of prescription pills, heroin and crack cocaine, according to Eannotti.
Eannotti said detectives located a large amount of oxycodone, OxyContin and crack cocaine. Detectives also seized a loaded firearm that was in “easy access of a minor child” and a large amount of cash, according to Eannotti.

Herman was taken into custody and charged with two counts of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and one count each of possession of intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a daycare, first-degree reckless endangerment, improper storage of a loaded firearm, illegal transfer of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm.

In a separate investigation, detectives recovered three stolen firearms, according to Eannotti.

Herman was held on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport court on Feb. 20.
