The Anime Club has been in existence for over 3 years at SLA and meets monthly with a staff member who is well versed in anime and manga. Teens discuss books, series and films related to anime and manga and make recommendations for consideration for purchase for the Teen collection.
The Anime Club teens also wrote and received a grant for $250 from the Stratford Community Services to produce their first-ever Anime Art display in the lobby for the month of May in conjunction with the creative perfomrance event RisingStars@SLA. An opening reception is planned for the evening of Thursday, May 5th.
The Manga/Anime Club which meets monthly at the Stratford Library will be displaying their art.
