Stratford author and radio personality Jeffrey C. Williams at a special "Meet-the-Author". Williams is the author of the newly published "HOME OF HAPPY DANCERS-The Story of Bridgeport, Connecticut's Ritz Ballroom".
The program is free and open to the public.
This chronicle in the life of Bridgeport's most famous dance palace showcases vintage newspaper articles, contributed photos and illustrations and the shared memories of dozens of local residents as well as some of the era's most famous music makers who appeared at the Ritz. Les Brown Jr., who now leads his dad's famous Band of Renown, has written the foreword for his book.

At the Stratford Library, Williams will share his experiences tracing the history of the Ritz through rare photographs, artifacts and shared stories by both local residents and big band luminaries. Autographed copies of the book will be available for purchase following the program.
