Stratford Historical Society presents "Songs of the War of 1812" with Rick Spencer

STRATFORD HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING AND PROGRAM

Rick Spencer's "Songs of the War of 1812" presents 12 songs that were popular during the conflict or that were written about the war. These include songs used as recruiting tools, a lament from the wife of a soldier, seafaring ballads, soldiering ballads, and patriotic songs.
