Fire Danger Signs Installed In Stratford
Residents are asked to check the Fire Danger levels in Stratford before kindling any fire pits, camp fires, etc., according to officials.

STRATFORD, CT — The 2024 forest fire season is upon the state of Connecticut. As we enter into a traditional spring fire season, the Stratford Fire Marshal’s Office would like to inform all residents that Fire Danger signs have been installed at all four Stratford firehouses and will notify residents of the current fire danger within the town of Stratford.
Residents are asked to check the Fire Danger levels in the town of Stratford before kindling any recreational fire (fire pits, camp fires, etc.).

Recreational fires are allowed when the Fire Danger level is Green (be careful) or Yellow (use caution). Red indicates a FIRE BAN and no open flame is allowed at the time.
