Stratford Residents Displaced By Duplex Fire

The residents were home at the time of the blaze, but were evacuated safely, with no injuries, according to a fire official.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford home is uninhabitable after a blaze Friday evening, according to a fire official.

Firefighters responded just after 7 p.m. to a duplex fire in the 300 block of Columbus Avenue, Assistant Chief Steven Alesevich said. The residents were home at the time of the blaze, but were evacuated safely, with no injuries, according to Alesevich. The first floor, second floor and garage were all damaged in the fire, he said.

The fire marshal was investigating the cause Friday night, according to Alesevich.
