Frank J. D'Ostilio, Sr., 91, passed away on August 13, 2023.

Frank was formerly of Orange and Stratford. Frank was instrumental in founding the Schick Golf League at Orange Hills Country Club.

Frank J. D’Ostilio, Sr., 91, formerly of Orange and Stratford, beloved husband of the late Betty (Bray) D’Ostilio, passed away on August 13, 2023. Born on February 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Cesido and Bettina (DeLuca) D’Ostilio, who had immigrated from Abruzzo, Italy in 1930.

Frank was raised in Bridgeport and graduated from Central High School Class of 1950 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, he studied business at the University of Bridgeport under the GI Bill. After graduation, he joined Schick Razor in Milford as a Cost Accountant and retired 33 years later as the Manager of the Accounting Department. Frank was instrumental in founding the Schick Golf League at Orange Hills Country Club, where he played for over 50 years. During retirement, he and Betty spent their winters as snowbirds in Naples and Fort Meyers, FL, and they spent the rest of the year at Oronoque Village in Stratford. When Betty became ill, Frank was her primary care giver for over 10 years and managed Betty’s care with grace. He spent his free time enjoying his grandchildren playing sports, closely following the Yankees and NY Giants, and cheering on the UCONN Huskies basketball teams. Pops, as he was fondly known to his family, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family wishes to thank his dedicated caregivers, Rachel Matloporo and Lele Mompati, who provided him with loving care, as well as the entire staff at Maplewood Senior Living Orange where he resided for the last years of his life.

Frank is survived by his sons, Frank (Mary) D’Ostilio Jr. of Woodbridge and Robert (Alyssa) D’Ostilio of West Hartford, his grandchildren, Andrew, Mark, Chris, Luke, and Lily, his sister, Millie McBride of Trumbull, his brother, Father Silvio D’Ostilio of Bethel Park, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
